About Bangladeshi Taka
The Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) has been the official currency of Bangladesh since the country's independence in 1971, replacing the Pakistani rupee. The word "taka" derives from the Sanskrit "tankah", an ancient silver coin. Bangladesh Bank, the central bank, manages monetary policy. The taka is divided into 100 poisha. About Honduran Lempira
The Honduran Lempira (HNL) is the official currency of Honduras, named after Lempira, an indigenous Lenca chief who led resistance against Spanish colonisation in the 16th century and is celebrated as a national hero. The lempira was introduced in 1931 to replace the Honduran peso. The Banco Central de Honduras manages monetary policy. Honduras is one of Central America's larger economies, with exports primarily consisting of coffee, bananas, palm oil, shrimp, and textiles from maquiladora (export processing zone) factories.
