About Bolivian Boliviano
The Bolivian Boliviano (BOB) is the official currency of Bolivia, named after Simon Bolivar, the independence hero of Latin America. The current boliviano was introduced in 1987, replacing the peso boliviano at a rate of 1,000,000 to 1 following a period of devastating hyperinflation in the mid-1980s when annual inflation reached 24,000%. About Myanmar Kyat
The Myanmar Kyat (MMK) is the official currency of Myanmar (formerly Burma), managed by the Central Bank of Myanmar. The kyat has experienced extraordinary volatility following the military coup of February 2021, which led to international sanctions, economic disruption, and a collapse in investor confidence. The kyat lost a significant portion of its value in the years following the coup. Myanmar's economy was based on natural gas exports, garments, jade and gems, rice, and tourism prior to the coup. The parallel market exchange rate often diverges significantly from the official rate.
