About Canadian Dollar
The Canadian Dollar (CAD), nicknamed the "Loonie" after the loon bird on the one-dollar coin, was introduced in 1858 and has been the official currency of Canada since Confederation in 1867. It is the sixth most traded currency in global foreign exchange markets. About Lao Kip
The Lao Kip (LAK) is the official currency of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Laos), a landlocked Southeast Asian country bordered by China, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Thailand. The current kip was introduced in 1979 when the communist Pathet Lao government unified the country's divided monetary system. The Bank of the Lao P.D.R. manages monetary policy. Laos is one of Southeast Asia's least developed countries, with an economy increasingly based on hydropower exports to neighbouring countries, mining, tourism, and agriculture.
