About Chilean Peso
The Chilean Peso (CLP) is the official currency of Chile, with a history dating to the colonial period, though the current peso was established in 1975 after the short-lived escudo. Chile has one of the most stable and prosperous economies in Latin America, with a diversified export base that includes copper (the world's largest producer), lithium, and agricultural products including wine. The Czech Koruna (CZK) became the sole currency of the Czech Republic on 8 February 1993, following the peaceful dissolution of Czechoslovakia - the "Velvet Divorce" - and the separation from the Slovak Koruna. The word "koruna" means "crown". The Czech National Bank manages monetary policy with an inflation-targeting regime. The Czech Republic has been an EU member since 2004 but has not yet adopted the Euro, retaining its own currency as a matter of national policy. The Czech economy is highly industrialised with a strong automotive, machinery, and electronics manufacturing base.
