About Czech Koruna
The Czech Koruna (CZK) became the sole currency of the Czech Republic on 8 February 1993, following the peaceful dissolution of Czechoslovakia - the "Velvet Divorce" - and the separation from the Slovak Koruna. The word "koruna" means "crown". The Czech National Bank manages monetary policy with an inflation-targeting regime. The Czech Republic has been an EU member since 2004 but has not yet adopted the Euro, retaining its own currency as a matter of national policy. The Czech economy is highly industrialised with a strong automotive, machinery, and electronics manufacturing base.

The New Zealand Dollar (NZD), nicknamed the "Kiwi" after the native flightless bird on the one-dollar coin, was introduced in 1967 when New Zealand decimalised its currency.
