About Dominican Peso
The Dominican Peso (DOP) is the official currency of the Dominican Republic, occupying the eastern two-thirds of the island of Hispaniola. The peso has been reintroduced multiple times throughout the country's turbulent history, with the current version established in 1947. The Banco Central de la Republica Dominicana manages monetary policy.
