About Ethiopian Birr
The Ethiopian Birr (ETB) is the official currency of Ethiopia, the second most populous country in Africa and one of the world's fastest-growing economies. The word "birr" means "silver" in Amharic. The National Bank of Ethiopia manages monetary policy.
