About Fijian Dollar
The Fijian Dollar (FJD) has been the official currency of Fiji since 1969, replacing the pound at a rate of two dollars to the pound during decimalisation. The Reserve Bank of Fiji manages monetary policy. Fiji is the most developed economy in the Pacific island region, with sugar, tourism, garments, and gold as primary economic drivers. The dollar is divided into 100 cents. About Kyrgyzstani Som
The Kyrgyzstani Som (KGS) has been the official currency of Kyrgyzstan since 1993, replacing the Soviet ruble following independence. The word "som" means "pure" in Kyrgyz and several other Turkic languages, historically referring to pure silver or gold. The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic manages monetary policy with a managed float regime. Kyrgyzstan is a Central Asian country with a landlocked mountain economy dependent on gold mining (the Kumtor mine is one of Central Asia's largest), remittances from workers in Russia and Kazakhstan, agriculture, and some manufacturing.
