About Georgian Lari
The Georgian Lari (GEL) has been the official currency of Georgia since 1995, replacing the Georgian coupon at a rate of one million to one following the economic collapse after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The name "lari" derives from an old Georgian word meaning "hoard" or "property". The National Bank of Georgia manages monetary policy with a floating exchange rate regime. About Omani Rial
The Omani Rial (OMR) is the official currency of the Sultanate of Oman and one of the highest-valued currencies in the world by exchange rate. Introduced in 1973 to replace the Saidi rial, it has been pegged to the US Dollar at 0.3845 OMR per USD since 1986. This peg has remained stable even during periods of lower oil prices, supported by government reserves. The Central Bank of Oman manages the peg.
