About Honduran Lempira
The Honduran Lempira (HNL) is the official currency of Honduras, named after Lempira, an indigenous Lenca chief who led resistance against Spanish colonisation in the 16th century and is celebrated as a national hero. The lempira was introduced in 1931 to replace the Honduran peso. The Banco Central de Honduras manages monetary policy. Honduras is one of Central America's larger economies, with exports primarily consisting of coffee, bananas, palm oil, shrimp, and textiles from maquiladora (export processing zone) factories.

The Azerbaijani Manat (AZN) is the official currency of Azerbaijan, reintroduced as the "new manat" in 2006 to replace the old manat at a rate of 5,000 to 1. Azerbaijan's economy is strongly driven by oil and natural gas exports from the Caspian Sea region, making the manat's value closely tied to energy commodity prices.
