About Hungarian Forint
The Hungarian Forint (HUF) has been the official currency of Hungary since 1 August 1946, introduced as part of a post-World War II monetary reform that ended one of history's worst hyperinflations - at its peak, prices doubled every 15 hours. The word "forint" derives from the Italian city of Florence (fiorino d'oro). Hungary has been an EU member since 2004 but has not yet adopted the Euro. The Magyar Nemzeti Bank (Magyar National Bank) manages monetary policy. Hungary's economy is strongly integrated with Western European supply chains, particularly the automotive sector.
About Iraqi Dinar
The Iraqi Dinar (IQD) is the official currency of Iraq, one of the world's largest oil producers with reserves comparable to Saudi Arabia's. The dinar was introduced in 1932, replacing the Indian rupee. The Central Bank of Iraq manages monetary policy with a quasi-peg to the US Dollar. The dinar underwent a reissue in 2003 following the fall of Saddam Hussein's government, replacing both the "Swiss" dinar used in Kurdistan and the Saddam-era dinar at various exchange rates.
