About Indonesian Rupiah
The Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) is the official currency of Indonesia, the world's fourth most populous country and largest archipelago nation. The word "rupiah" derives from the Sanskrit "rupyakam" (silver). First issued in 1946, the rupiah replaced the Dutch colonial guilder. Bank Indonesia manages monetary policy. Indonesia is a member of the G20 and has one of Southeast Asia's largest economies, driven by natural resource exports (coal, palm oil, rubber, metals) and a growing domestic consumer market.
About Danish Krone
The Danish Krone (DKK) is the official currency of Denmark, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands. First introduced in 1875 as part of the Scandinavian Monetary Union alongside Sweden and Norway, it has been Denmark's sole official currency since 1914. Denmark is an EU member but has a formal opt-out from adopting the Euro, and the krone has been pegged to the Euro within a narrow band of plus or minus 2.25% since 1999 (previously pegged to the Deutsche Mark since 1982). Danmarks Nationalbank manages the peg primarily through interest rate policy.
