About Indonesian Rupiah
The Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) is the official currency of Indonesia, the world's fourth most populous country and largest archipelago nation. The word "rupiah" derives from the Sanskrit "rupyakam" (silver). First issued in 1946, the rupiah replaced the Dutch colonial guilder. Bank Indonesia manages monetary policy. About Lao Kip
The Lao Kip (LAK) is the official currency of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Laos), a landlocked Southeast Asian country bordered by China, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Thailand. The current kip was introduced in 1979 when the communist Pathet Lao government unified the country's divided monetary system. The Bank of the Lao P.D.R. manages monetary policy. Laos is one of Southeast Asia's least developed countries, with an economy increasingly based on hydropower exports to neighbouring countries, mining, tourism, and agriculture.
