About Jamaican Dollar
The Jamaican Dollar (JMD) has been the official currency of Jamaica since 1969, replacing the Jamaican pound following decimalisation. The Bank of Jamaica manages monetary policy with a floating exchange rate, and the JMD has depreciated steadily over the decades relative to major currencies. Egypt is the most populous Arab country and the third most populous in Africa, with an economy driven by tourism, Suez Canal revenues, remittances, oil exports, and agriculture.
