About Jamaican Dollar
The Jamaican Dollar (JMD) has been the official currency of Jamaica since 1969, replacing the Jamaican pound following decimalisation. The Bank of Jamaica manages monetary policy with a floating exchange rate, and the JMD has depreciated steadily over the decades relative to major currencies. Jamaica's economy depends heavily on tourism, bauxite and alumina exports, and remittances from the large Jamaican diaspora in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada. About Lao Kip
The Lao Kip (LAK) is the official currency of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Laos), a landlocked Southeast Asian country bordered by China, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Thailand. The current kip was introduced in 1979 when the communist Pathet Lao government unified the country's divided monetary system. The Bank of the Lao P.D.R. manages monetary policy. Laos is one of Southeast Asia's least developed countries, with an economy increasingly based on hydropower exports to neighbouring countries, mining, tourism, and agriculture.
