About Jamaican Dollar
The Jamaican Dollar (JMD) has been the official currency of Jamaica since 1969, replacing the Jamaican pound following decimalisation. The Bank of Jamaica manages monetary policy with a floating exchange rate, and the JMD has depreciated steadily over the decades relative to major currencies. Jamaica's economy depends heavily on tourism, bauxite and alumina exports, and remittances from the large Jamaican diaspora in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada. About Omani Rial
The Omani Rial (OMR) is the official currency of the Sultanate of Oman and one of the highest-valued currencies in the world by exchange rate. Introduced in 1973 to replace the Saidi rial, it has been pegged to the US Dollar at 0.3845 OMR per USD since 1986. This peg has remained stable even during periods of lower oil prices, supported by government reserves. The Central Bank of Oman manages the peg. Oman is a major oil and natural gas producer on the Arabian Peninsula, though it is also investing in diversification through tourism, logistics, and manufacturing.
