About Japanese Yen
The Japanese Yen (JPY) is the official currency of Japan and the third most traded currency in global foreign exchange markets, accounting for approximately 17% of daily forex turnover. Introduced in 1871 as part of the Meiji government's monetary reforms, the yen replaced a complex system of Feudal domain currencies. The Bank of Japan (BoJ) manages monetary policy. About Jamaican Dollar
The Jamaican Dollar (JMD) has been the official currency of Jamaica since 1969, replacing the Jamaican pound following decimalisation. The Bank of Jamaica manages monetary policy with a floating exchange rate, and the JMD has depreciated steadily over the decades relative to major currencies. Jamaica's economy depends heavily on tourism, bauxite and alumina exports, and remittances from the large Jamaican diaspora in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada.
