About Japanese Yen
The Japanese Yen (JPY) is the official currency of Japan and the third most traded currency in global foreign exchange markets, accounting for approximately 17% of daily forex turnover. Introduced in 1871 as part of the Meiji government's monetary reforms, the yen replaced a complex system of Feudal domain currencies. The Bank of Japan (BoJ) manages monetary policy. About Macanese Pataca
The Macanese Pataca (MOP) is the official currency of Macau Special Administrative Region of China, used alongside the Hong Kong Dollar (which is widely accepted at a rate of 1 HKD = 1.03 MOP approximately). The pataca has been pegged to the HKD since 1977. Macau is the only place in China where gambling is legal, making its economy - per capita one of the world's richest - almost entirely dependent on gaming and tourism revenues. The Monetary Authority of Macao issues the pataca.
