About Japanese Yen

The name "hryvnia" refers to a historical silver ingot currency used in Kievan Rus. The National Bank of Ukraine manages monetary policy. Since Russia's full-scale invasion in February 2022, the hryvnia has operated under capital controls and a managed exchange rate to maintain economic stability during wartime. Ukraine is a major global exporter of wheat, corn, sunflower oil, and steel.
