About Lebanese Pound
The Lebanese Pound (LBP) has been in a state of severe crisis since 2019, when Lebanon entered its worst economic collapse since the civil war. The pound lost over 95% of its value as the banking system froze dollar deposits, the government defaulted on its debt, and rampant money printing fuelled hyperinflation.
