About Lebanese Pound
The Lebanese Pound (LBP) has been in a state of severe crisis since 2019, when Lebanon entered its worst economic collapse since the civil war. The pound lost over 95% of its value as the banking system froze dollar deposits, the government defaulted on its debt, and rampant money printing fuelled hyperinflation. Formally introduced in 1939 and once pegged at 1,507 LBP per USD for decades (providing artificial stability), the multiple exchange rates and loss of the peg created a chaotic monetary situation. The Banque du Liban manages the currency.

The Romanian Leu (RON) is the official currency of Romania, with "leu" meaning "lion" in Romanian. A redenomination occurred in 2005 where 10,000 old lei (ROL) became 1 new leu (RON). The National Bank of Romania manages monetary policy. Romania is an EU member since 2007 and is preparing to adopt the Euro, though no firm date has been set.
