About Macanese Pataca
The Macanese Pataca (MOP) is the official currency of Macau Special Administrative Region of China, used alongside the Hong Kong Dollar (which is widely accepted at a rate of 1 HKD = 1.03 MOP approximately). The pataca has been pegged to the HKD since 1977.
