About Macanese Pataca
The Macanese Pataca (MOP) is the official currency of Macau Special Administrative Region of China, used alongside the Hong Kong Dollar (which is widely accepted at a rate of 1 HKD = 1.03 MOP approximately). The pataca has been pegged to the HKD since 1977. Macau is the only place in China where gambling is legal, making its economy - per capita one of the world's richest - almost entirely dependent on gaming and tourism revenues. The Monetary Authority of Macao issues the pataca.

Introduced in 1964, it replaced the British West Indies dollar. The Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago manages monetary policy with a managed float. Trinidad and Tobago is the Caribbean's leading energy producer with significant natural gas and oil reserves. It is also the largest producer of methanol and ammonia in the Western Hemisphere.
