About Maldivian Rufiyaa
The Maldivian Rufiyaa (MVR) is the official currency of the Maldives, an archipelago of 1,200 coral islands in the Indian Ocean. The Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) manages monetary policy. The rufiyaa is pegged to the US Dollar at a rate of approximately 15.42 MVR per USD within a narrow band.
