About Malaysian Ringgit
The Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) is the official currency of Malaysia. The word "ringgit" means "jagged" in Malay, describing the milled or serrated edges of old Spanish silver dollars that once circulated in the region. Bank Negara Malaysia manages monetary policy. Malaysia has one of Southeast Asia's most diversified and developed economies, with major exports including electronics, petroleum products, palm oil, rubber, and liquefied natural gas. About Bulgarian Lev
The Bulgarian Lev (BGN) is the official currency of Bulgaria, with a history dating to 1880 when it replaced the Turkish piastre after Bulgaria's liberation. The word "lev" means "lion" in Bulgarian. Following a severe financial crisis in 1996-1997, a currency board was established and the lev was pegged first to the Deutsche Mark and then to the Euro at 1.95583 BGN per EUR. Bulgaria is an EU member since 2007 and is working towards adopting the Euro. The Bulgarian National Bank issues the lev, which is divided into 100 stotinki.
