About Mozambican Metical
The Mozambican Metical (MZN) was reintroduced in 2006 at a rate of 1,000 old meticals to 1 new metical following years of inflation after Mozambique's devastating civil war that ended in 1992. The Banco de Mocambique manages monetary policy.
