About Norwegian Krone
The Norwegian Krone (NOK) is the official currency of Norway and is managed by Norges Bank with an inflation-targeting floating exchange rate regime. The Macedonian Denar (MKD) has been the official currency of North Macedonia since 1992, replacing the Yugoslav dinar following the country's independence. The name "denar" derives from the ancient Roman silver coin "denarius". The National Bank of the Republic of North Macedonia manages monetary policy with a fixed exchange rate de facto pegged to the Euro. North Macedonia is a small Balkan country with an economy based on steel, iron, lead, zinc, manganese, chromite, and tungsten mining, as well as agriculture and light manufacturing.
