About Omani Rial
The Omani Rial (OMR) is the official currency of the Sultanate of Oman and one of the highest-valued currencies in the world by exchange rate. Introduced in 1973 to replace the Saidi rial, it has been pegged to the US Dollar at 0.3845 OMR per USD since 1986. This peg has remained stable even during periods of lower oil prices, supported by government reserves. The Central Bank of Oman manages the peg. The Honduran Lempira (HNL) is the official currency of Honduras, named after Lempira, an indigenous Lenca chief who led resistance against Spanish colonisation in the 16th century and is celebrated as a national hero. The lempira was introduced in 1931 to replace the Honduran peso. The Banco Central de Honduras manages monetary policy.
