About Qatari Riyal
The Qatari Riyal (QAR) is the official currency of Qatar, one of the world's wealthiest countries by per capita income. The riyal has been pegged to the US Dollar at 3.64 QAR per USD since 2001, a peg maintained with ease due to Qatar's enormous oil and liquefied natural gas (LNG) revenues. Qatar holds the world's third largest proven natural gas reserves and is the world's largest exporter of LNG. The Qatar Central Bank manages the peg. About Lao Kip
The Lao Kip (LAK) is the official currency of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Laos), a landlocked Southeast Asian country bordered by China, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Thailand. The current kip was introduced in 1979 when the communist Pathet Lao government unified the country's divided monetary system. The Bank of the Lao P.D.R. manages monetary policy. Laos is one of Southeast Asia's least developed countries, with an economy increasingly based on hydropower exports to neighbouring countries, mining, tourism, and agriculture.
