About Russian Ruble
The Russian Ruble (RUB) is one of the world's oldest currencies, with roots dating to the 13th century as a silver ingot used in medieval Kievan Rus. The Bank of Russia manages monetary policy with a floating exchange rate, adopted in 2014. The Ethiopian Birr (ETB) is the official currency of Ethiopia, the second most populous country in Africa and one of the world's fastest-growing economies. The word "birr" means "silver" in Amharic. The National Bank of Ethiopia manages monetary policy. Ethiopia's economy is largely agricultural - it is the world's largest producer of chat (khat) and one of the largest of coffee, which is believed to have originated in the Ethiopian highlands. The birr is divided into 100 santim.
