About Saudi Arabian Riyal
The Saudi Arabian Riyal (SAR) is the official currency of Saudi Arabia, the world's largest exporter of petroleum and home to ARAMCO - the world's most profitable company by revenue. The riyal has been pegged to the US Dollar at 3.75 SAR per USD since 1986, one of the most durable currency pegs in the world, supported by Saudi Arabia's vast oil revenues and the world's second largest foreign exchange reserves.
