About Thai Baht
The Thai Baht (THB) is the official currency of Thailand, one of Southeast Asia's largest and most successful economies. The Bank of Thailand manages monetary policy with a managed float regime. About Lao Kip
The Lao Kip (LAK) is the official currency of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Laos), a landlocked Southeast Asian country bordered by China, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Thailand. The current kip was introduced in 1979 when the communist Pathet Lao government unified the country's divided monetary system. The Bank of the Lao P.D.R. manages monetary policy. Laos is one of Southeast Asia's least developed countries, with an economy increasingly based on hydropower exports to neighbouring countries, mining, tourism, and agriculture.
