The New Taiwan Dollar (TWD) is the official currency of Taiwan (Republic of China), introduced in 1949 when the Nationalist government retreated from mainland China to Taiwan. The Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan) manages monetary policy. About Hungarian Forint
The Hungarian Forint (HUF) has been the official currency of Hungary since 1 August 1946, introduced as part of a post-World War II monetary reform that ended one of history's worst hyperinflations - at its peak, prices doubled every 15 hours. The word "forint" derives from the Italian city of Florence (fiorino d'oro). Hungary has been an EU member since 2004 but has not yet adopted the Euro. The Magyar Nemzeti Bank (Magyar National Bank) manages monetary policy. Hungary's economy is strongly integrated with Western European supply chains, particularly the automotive sector.
