About Tanzanian Shilling
The Tanzanian Shilling (TZS) has been the official currency of Tanzania since 1966, replacing the East African shilling. The Bank of Tanzania manages monetary policy. Tanzania is one of Africa's largest and fastest growing economies, with significant revenues from tourism (safari - Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater; Kilimanjaro; Zanzibar), gold mining, coffee, tea, cotton, and increasingly extractable natural gas reserves. About Omani Rial
The Omani Rial (OMR) is the official currency of the Sultanate of Oman and one of the highest-valued currencies in the world by exchange rate. Introduced in 1973 to replace the Saidi rial, it has been pegged to the US Dollar at 0.3845 OMR per USD since 1986. This peg has remained stable even during periods of lower oil prices, supported by government reserves. The Central Bank of Oman manages the peg. Oman is a major oil and natural gas producer on the Arabian Peninsula, though it is also investing in diversification through tourism, logistics, and manufacturing.
