About Ukrainian Hryvnia
The Ukrainian Hryvnia (UAH) has been the official currency of Ukraine since 1996, replacing the karbovanets interim currency used after Soviet dissolution in 1991. The name "hryvnia" refers to a historical silver ingot currency used in Kievan Rus. The National Bank of Ukraine manages monetary policy. About Jamaican Dollar
The Jamaican Dollar (JMD) has been the official currency of Jamaica since 1969, replacing the Jamaican pound following decimalisation. The Bank of Jamaica manages monetary policy with a floating exchange rate, and the JMD has depreciated steadily over the decades relative to major currencies. Jamaica's economy depends heavily on tourism, bauxite and alumina exports, and remittances from the large Jamaican diaspora in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada.
