About Uzbekistani Som
The Uzbekistani Som (UZS) has been the official currency of Uzbekistan since 1994, replacing the Soviet ruble after independence. The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan manages monetary policy. Uzbekistan is Central Asia's most populous nation and has transformed significantly since its economic liberalisation reforms beginning in 2017 under President Mirziyoyev. The Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) has been the official currency of Bangladesh since the country's independence in 1971, replacing the Pakistani rupee. The word "taka" derives from the Sanskrit "tankah", an ancient silver coin. Bangladesh Bank, the central bank, manages monetary policy. The taka is divided into 100 poisha. Bangladesh's economy has grown remarkably over the past three decades, powered primarily by its garment and textile export industry - the second largest in the world after China.
